Il y a des mots qui se prélassent,
qui attendent le soir pour sortir ;
et d’autres qui pourraient remplirun livre infini,
tant ils paraissentencombrés… Mais le mot jamais
ne s’encombre, car il sait que la route est longue ;
et s’il s’étire,indolent, c’est qu’il se sent beau
comme une femme et se laisse bronzer,
au soleil des pages,
dans l’été de l’esprit.

There is some words which are basking,
which are waiting the evening to get out.
And some others which could filled an infinite book
As they seem full…But the word never gets too heavy
because he knows that there is long way to do ;
and if he stretch himself, indolent it’s because
he feels as beautiful as a woman
and he let himself getting sunburn,
at the sun of the pages
in the summer of the spirit.
